Community Orphan Care
Program (COCP)
Program (COCP)
KCV has two Community Orphan Care Programmes which assist 100 children with the basic needs of food, clothing and educational expenses. The Board of Directors hopes that KCV will eventually assist 300 children in this programme.
The children in the COCP are orphaned or destitute children under the care of the following people:
1. Their own brothers or sisters who may still be at school orphaned
2. Their grand parents who are not gainfully employed because of old age.
3. Their care givers who are not able to meet the children’s needs.
4. There are others who are under the care of single parents who are affected or infected with HIV/AIDS who can no longer be gainfully employed because they are too weak.
